Video How To use new Base and Bling CTMH Jewelry

Right before my open house I made the Base and Bling necklace kit.  It was so fast to put together (under 1 hour) and a blast to make and wear.  Its a fun statement piece and I get compliments on whenever I wear it.  Ladies can't believe it was just $14.95 for the kit!

I bought a couple more bases in my last order and will be putting together some fun rings and clips soon.  If you haven't had a chance to check out the base and bling line yet - watch this video for some fabulous samples of the things you can make with this new line.  How about a fun clip to add to a hat or scarf for fall?  Headbands for back to school?  Decorative flower clip for your purse or bag?  Looking for a project to make with your girl or teen?  How about an inexpensive birthday party project/gift all in one? The possibilites are endless!

*If you are receiving this via e-mail you'll need to click out to my blog by the link at the top to see the video.

Are you ready to make something fun, cute and wearable?  Visit my shopping site at www.Paige.CTMH.com and order your Base and Bling materials today!

Artbooking in August - Fast and Easy Stash Busting Birthday Layout

Welcome to our final week of our Artbooking in August blog hop!  If you came here from Terry's Blog you are on the right track.  This hop is a cricular hop so if you go all the way through you will come back here but if you get lost along the way, you can visit Adeline's blog HERE.  She was our fantastic and fearless organizer for this four week hop and I'm giving her a big round of applause for all her hard work!

Over the past few weeks I've done a whole lot of projects while playing around with my new Cricut Artbooking Cartridge.  I love how the three Close to my Heart cartridges work together to give you 2,100 different images that you can combine, resize and re-shape (using CCR) to give you limitless possibilities to create.  Sometimes though, you just want a quick and easy project.  The kind you don't have to think about but just pop some paper through and have your project done in a flash. When you need that kind of thing, Artbooking has you covered!

I turned to pages 86 of the Artbooking handbook and followed the recipe there to create the layout shown.  I made one change to the layout by switching out the numbers for the word celebrate from the coordinating layout on page 87.  Other than that, the most difficult decision was what colors of paper to cut each element from.
These fast and easy layouts are great for STASH BUSTING because they are perfect for digging around in your embellishments and finding just a few pieces to color coordinate with your layouts and tie them all together.  I used some long ago retired badges and yellow buttons for embellishment and a bit of white gel pen to define the star overlay.

Now, hop on over to Pam's blog and see what she created for us this week!

If you'd like to do some stash busting of your own, visit my shopping site at www.Paige.CTMH.com and pick up your Artbooking Cartridge today!  If you haven't picked up your FREE August Stamp of the Month with a $50 purchase yet, time is running out for the limited edition A Chocolate Affair set which is too cute to miss!

Thanks for joining us in our month long Artbooking in August blog hop!  If you had fun visiting me, follow my blog by e-mail in the upper right corner or stay on top of my happenings by following on facebook.  Stay crafty my friends!

FREE CCR File offer! Artbooking You are my Sunshine Home Decor for Heart2Heart Challenges

As part of my efforts to bring the best customer service and support to all who order through me and support my business, each month I will be offering a FREE CCR file exclusive to those who place an order with me that month!  This cutie-patootie 12x12 frameable home decor file will be sent by e-mail to all those who order through me in the month of August!  Simply place ANY size order through me or directly on my website at www.Paige.CTMH.com and I'll e-mail this file as a thank you for your patronage!

This week's "Song in your Heart" challenge at Heart2Heart Challenges had me stumped for a bit until I started flipping through Artbooking and the sunburst overlay popped out at me. You are my Sunshine has always been a bit of a family song for us so this one came together for me in a burst of sudden creativity (maybe a looming deadline played a part in it as well - LOL!).

Here it is framed and ready to put in my front room.  I love using these 12x12 shadow frames from craft stores for single page home decor layouts.  Its so much fun creating a seasonal picture to display for a month or two.  After you are done, simply put it in a page protector and store it in one of our Work in Progress 3 Ring Binders for the next time that holiday/seaon rolls around!

Here are a few detail shots.  The little wooden hear is from our Wooden Trinkets collection that I purchased a while back.  These pieces are my new go-to resource for adding just a little sweet touch to a project!

I sanded the edges of the Laughing Lola paper to get that nice white edge and help set it off from the light tan Glitter Paper.  A selection of retired (flowers, buttons) combined with newer accessories (chevron ribbon, wooden Trinkets butterflies) finishes up this project nicely!

I hope you'll join us at Heart2Heart Challenges this week and share the song in YOUR heart!  To play along simply use some Close to my Heart products in your project and link your photo thumbnail to the hop (very easy to do)!

Click on the links below to purchase the products used in this project:
Art Philosophy Cricut Collection (for the glitter circle and heart)
Frame (Michael's)
Flowers, buttons, brads, safety pin (retired CTMH)

Thanks for the space in your e-mail or for stopping by today!  I truly love sharing my artwork with you all and hope I've inspired you to get crafty this week!

Teacher Welcome Gift for Artbooking in August Blog Hop

*Edit:  This file is part of my Hostess Club files.  To see more information about how you can have exclusive access to my CCR library, click HERE.

Welcome to week #3 of Artbooking in August!  This is a circular hop so if you keep hopping through you'll wind up back here.  If you came from Terry's Blog you are on the right track. We have a group of almost 40 CTMH consultants showcasing how the new CTMH Cricut Artbooking cartridge can be used for layouts, cards, home decor/gift items and mini books - so much inspiration its crazy!

I have a friend who was just offered a full time job next year teaching first grade.  She is such a positive, patient and kind person that I just know all her students and their parents are going to love having her.  I made this little box to give her a present for her first week back to full time work. The box is from Artiste but all the elements on top were cut with the new Artbooking cartridge.  I love the Silver Glitter Paper word "inspire" - I'm sure that is what all teachers aspire to do!

This box is about 4" inches tall and 5" wide so it will be perfect for a few chocolates, maybe a small notebook or a bag of cookies.  I'll wrap some goodies up and add a jar of homemade Blackberry Jam for a breakfast treat.

Click on the links below to shop for the products used in this project:
Paper:  Typeset (retired)

Penguin and Artbooking Card for Festive Friday Blog Hop

Welcome to our Festive Friday Blog Hop!  If you came here from Jamie's Blog you are on the right track!

This hop is devoted to sharing holiday themed Close to my Heart cards and projects with you for the next 6 months.  Any holiday is game for this hop so you can see everything from New Year's to Christmas and everything in between featured on this circular hop!  If you keep hopping through eventually you'll wind up back here but if there is a broken link or you get lost along the way, just come back here for the full listing at the bottom of this post.

My first month' entry features one of the adorable penguins from the new C1560 Wintry Wishes Hostess Rewards sets.  I loved the Artbooking overlay used on the catalog sample so I lifted that element and paired it up with our Frosted paper pack.  His sweet little scarf and hat are paper pieced.
This shot is all about the wonderful texture these overlays add to your artwork.  His skates shine with a bit of metallic silver marker!

Click on the links below to purchase the products used in this project:

Artbooking in August Babycakes Giraffe Card

Welcome to the second week of our 4 week blog hop, Artbooking in August!  Its a celebration of the many creative ways you can use the new Artbooking Cricut Collection - mini books, layouts, cards and home decor/gift items!

Last week was a BLAST celebrating with so many consultants the amazing things this cartridge can create!  I know this week is going to be just as much fun!  This hop is a circular hop so if you go all the way around, you'll wind up back here.

This week I am sharing an adorable baby card made with our cutie patootie new Babycakes paper pack!  (Click here to see last week's Love Mini Album video)  The giraffe paper in Babycakes is so sweet but being able to cut as many giraffes in any size with Artbooking?  Priceless!  Can't you just see this guy done in vinyl on a nursery wall or on top of a baby keepsake box with matching mini album?

Here is a close up of the ribbon treatment under the mat - a little Slate CS shaped with a corner rounder and then Washi tape added down the middle.  The wooden shape is from our Trinkets collection - totally kicking myself for not getting these sooner!  They come in a package of 57 assorted shapes and sizes and work perfectly for adding a little umph to your project!

Mixed Media Canvas for H2H Challenges Bon Voyage Challenge

Today I have the great honor of being the writer for the Bon Voyage challenge at Heart2Heart Challenges so I'll copy what I wrote on proverbial challenge wall!

I've always loved the phrase bon voyage or good journey because it's full of the promise of adventure, fresh starts and exploration. Today we are dedicating this challenge to our newest members of the Close to my Heart sisterhood, the new consultants in Australia and New Zealand. We wish you all buckets of creativity and a joyous start on your new adventure as Close to my Heart consultants and want to give you a warm welcome and invitation to participate in our challenges!

My personal project today is all about my own good journey - being wife to my hubby for the last 22 years.  We've definitely had our fair share of squalls hit us but as a couple we've always grown stronger and closer through the challenges.  I love this guy to pieces for his dedication to our family, keeping me laughing all these years and his support and unconditional love.  I've always said he was the North Star to my wayward journey and this little project captures what he means to me.

Our Tommy paper pack was perfect for this project!  I used the WOTG stamp set for the waves, ship and tag.  The sentiment on top of the Artiste rosette is from the Sail Away stamp set.

The background was colored with Gelatos.  On the water part, I stamped the waves with Outdoor Denim pigment ink and then embossed it with Clear Detail embossing powder.  The boat was embossed with White Daisy powder on the yellow Tommy paper and pieced with some of the blue paper.  I wrapped the frame with some Cranberry CS to give it a finished look.  This baby is going to be displayed downstairs for a while and will probably wind up decorating my craft room eventually.

I hope you'll join us at Heart2Heart Challenges this week with your own interpretation our Bon Voyage challenge!  Be sure to use some CTMH product so your linky stays live!

Artbooking Card What lies within us Teen Girl Card with CTMH Sarita, Scrapbook Statements and Sightseer

This is my final entry in the New Product Blog Hop!  To see the complete hop, click on my post HERE.  I've had lots of posts over the last few days so be sure to visit my blog to make sure you don't miss one.  If you are here for the Artbooking in August hop, its just below so click HERE.

I made this card with my darling daughter in mind.  She is just about to start her senior year in high school and is feeling a bit overwhelmed with the changes in her life that are coming up fast.  I remember being that age and feeling both excited and scared about joining the big wide world.  This card is all about her trusting the power she has within to take on the new challenges.
I'm loving our new Sarita paper pack with the gorgeous colors and ikat textures.  It really does look like fabric when you see it in person and is a great foil for graphics.

Artbooking in August Blog Hop!

You may be able to tell by now that I am completely in love with our new Artbooking Cartridge! So much so I've joined in a weekly hop throughout August to showcase some of the awesome things you can do with it!  Over the next four Mondays we'll be hopping along as a group of 40 consultants share their creations in four different categories - two page layout, cards, mini books and home decor/gift items.  Lots of inspiration to be had!

If for any reason you get lost along the way or a link is broken, just come back here and you can pick back up by using the hop listing I've published just before this post.  If you've come here from Terry's Blog then you are on the right track.
This week I am sharing just one of the TEN albums that are included in the Artbooking cartridge. I've chosen the 8x3.5" Love Mini Album for this week's project.  Each mini album contains 8 different base page cuts.  I've done a quick video below to show you how the albums size and coordinate for cutting as well as detailed shots of the album pages.
