Pivot Slider Card with Zoe

I stumbled across a picture of a pivot slider card this morning (see Paula Knall's card here) and thought it was such a cute idea I had to make one today!  I pulled out my Zoe paper pack and had some fun putting this new-to-me style card together.  The butterfly and flowers are all cut from our Cricut carts.  I used some retired Prisma glitter on the butterfly - then I remembered why I don't use it so much - it is now all over my craft area!
You can see the pivot post the butterfly is attached to - there is an a semi-circle cut out of the card front so the butterfly can swoop through the flowers!
The sentiment is a sneak peek from an upcoming set called "A Bunch of Love" that I'll link after it goes live on Monday!
Zoe is one of the packs from the annual book so it's still orderable through July.  April 30th is the last day for Regatta, Penelope or Charlotte so don't delay if you want any of those!  I loved them all but I'm very excited to get 3 new paper packs to show you starting on Monday!

Stay crafty my friends!

Heart2Heart Challenges - Regatta

Heart2Heart Challenges is hosting a Regatta paper challenge this week which gave me a chance to get my D1684 Beach Days stamp set inky!  My high school senior is going into Marine Biology at Western Washington University in the fall so this stamp set was a must purchase for me.

I've stamped my crab in Pomegranate ink and my octopus in Glacier with the edges rolled in Sapphire.  I couldn't resist adding some googly eyes to these guys.  Flaxen ink gives a great sandy feel to the star fish and banner piece.

The card above shows the very nautical side of Regatta but there are also pieces that work great for less theme specific cards too!  This quick card was made with a piece of the PML card that comes with the paper pack and a few scraps!
The sentiment is from a Hostess Rewards set called Little Things stamped in Sapphire ink.  A few strip of our Gold Foil tape and a few Gold Sequins ties this one up!
I hope you'll hop on over to Heart2Heart Challenges and create something with the nautical and nice Regatta paper pack!

5 Minute Card with Regatta Paper Pack - Get the pattern and instructions here!

Sometimes all you have is a few minutes in your craft room to whip together a card.  The pattern below is a quickie that can help you put together a card in 5 minutes or less!

I made this one with our nautically themed Regatta Paper Pack and our C1642 My Anchor stamp set.  Both of these beauties are retiring at the end of April - just 12 more days to order these and other products from our Season Expression 1 book!  The White with Gold Ribbon I used on this one WILL be available after this Idea Book. It has such a nice feel to it, very soft and easy to tie a bow or knot.

To Make Your 5 Minute Card
1. Cut one 2x2" square and then cut it diagonally for 2 corners.
2. Cut two .5"x5" strips in coordinating paper.
3.  Adhere the two pieces to the corners and optionally add ribbon to cover the joining or a .25" width piece of coordinating paper.
4. Stamp a sentiment and a cluster of images in the center of the card using colors from the papers.
5. Pat yourself on the back for being a clever girl who makes cute creations with your CTMH products!  ;-)

Heart2Heart Challenges - Sketch Challenge

Today at Heart2Heart we are having a sketch challenge!  I love sketch challenges because it always amazes me how one pattern can look so different depending on the papers, stamps and embellishments that you use.  Our sketch today is brought to us by Brandi Robinson - a fellow DT member and all around fabulous sketch creator!

Here is the sketch we were given to inspire us.  This one is so cute I know it will become a go-to pattern for me!
I used a piece of Zoe paper and embossed it with our Hearts Embossing folder.  I then colored the raised hearts in with Shinhan marker to customize the paper.
The rosette is from our Artiste cartridge.  I added a line of Limeaid washi tape to it before I glued the two pieces together and then highlighted the edges with marker to give it some pop.
Here is a close up of the darling frog from the Spring Critters stamp set.  This stamp set is retiring on April 31st so if you haven't picked this one up yet you should hurry!  I colored him with our Shinhan Markers and used the colorless blending pen to remove some color and create spots.
Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you'll "hop" on over to Heart2Heart Challenges and create something fun with this adorable sketch!  Remember you have all month to play along and you just have to use some CTMH product on your finished project!

How you doin' card with Spring Critters - get these cuties before April 31st!

Did you know that when this Seasonal Expressions retires on April 31st all the stamps and papers in it will retire too?  CTMH is focusing on always bringing fresh and new with each catalog cycle (our main one which lasts a full year plus the three seasonal supplements) which means that from now on, when an Idea Book retires all the stamps and papers will now retire too making way for brand new on-trend items!
That brings me to this cutie pattootie stamp set that I hadn't had the chance to play with yet.  Isn't this Spring Critter set the cutest?  I'm totally kicking myself for not getting this set inky earlier so I could show you just how adorable Spring Critters is but there are still a few weeks left for you to order this one!
I matched this set up with some Penelope paper and made a sweet little rosette from our Artiste cartridge to showcase the bird image.  Love the foil tape and the Limeade washi tape accents on the rosette!
Time is really flying by this year - my college girl has about 4 more weeks of her Sophomore year before she is home for the summer and my high school senior has just 9-10 weeks left of high school forever!  It hardly seems real that I'm about to have 2 college kids and just one left in the nest but I am also so proud and excited to see my older two taking wing (get the pun here? - LOL) and moving on to new adventures in their life.  I'm also working part time outside the house now too as an office manager at a physical therapy place.  So many changes but one of the things that is staying the same is my love for Close to my Heart products and sharing my crafty time here with you!

Stay crafty my friends!

The card base is our lovely Cashmere color cardstock - such a beautiful neutral! It lends a softness to any project.
