Elegant Wedding or Anniversary Card for Heart2Heart Challenges

I can hardly believe this is my last entry as a Design Team member for Heart2Heart Challenges.  Six months really flew by fast!  I've had such a wonderful time being on the team - so many talented ladies and so many people joining in the fun participating in the challenges.  I have definitely learned a lot during my time and have added oodles of ideas for my own crafting from all the participants and have been stretched artistically by my wonderful team members!  A huge thanks goes out to Mary Vogel who is the team captain and blog owner - thanks for picking me and letting me be part of such a wonderful venture!

Here is my entry for this week's challenge - an elegant card suitable for a wedding or anniversary.

I softened the brighter pinks of our Lucy paper by layering some vellum on top.  I added an Art Philosophy shape underneath along with a sweet sentiment from a retired set.

The roses were embossed in silver on Colonial White and then tinted with Blush using my waterbrush.  A little bit of Stardust Glitz in the centers gave me the effect I wanted.

I adore our Rhinestone Designer Brads for an instant pop of class on any project and color matching our Color Ready Seam Binding to any project is a snap.

Congratulations Wedding Card with CTMH Bliss and Salutation Seals

I made this card for two challenges,  Mojo Monday #194 and Heart2Heart Challenges Here Comes the Bride.

The medalion was made using Cocoa Embossing powder with our CTMH Salutation Seals stamp set.  After I heat set the powder, I punched the image out with our 2" scallop punch.  When the card was complete I put the medallion on and coated the embossed part of the image with Liquid Glass.  It took some time to dry but I love the glossy epoxy element look to the image.

Wedding Dress and Tuxedo Card

 

Isn't this a beautiful card?  I was blurfing (isn't that was blog surfing is called?) several months ago and came across a consultant with another company who had the original idea.  I used the basic idea but changed up the dress and tux.  I also antiqued the dress with a few swipes of Parchment Ink (a very pale peachy ink) after I sent it through the cuttlebug and embossed the white tuxedo shirt with the Candy Cane cuttlebug folder - I just rotated the piece until it lined up straight up and down on the lines instead of using the diagonal.  Unfortunately, I wasn't good about grabbing the blog site so if you are the consultant and come across this - let me know and I'll be happy to add your link to your original!  I loved using our self adhesive pearls to make the dress and tux look real.

This one is going to one of my husband's co-workers who is getting married next month.  Now I have to come up with a nice wedding gifty item to go with it!
