June Jackpot! Goodie Boxes are BACK!

I'm SO excited for the June campaign from Close to my Heart because they are BRINGING GOODIE BOXES BACK!  I'm a total sucker for a great deal and the June Jackpot campaign is going to be chock full of great deals!  I'll be hosting a Swap and Crop at the end of June (Friday, 25th June from 6-10PM)  for anyone who purchases items from my site during the June Jackpot campaign.  This way if you get something in your goodie box that you already have or something that isn't your cup of tea, you'll have an opportunity to swap it with other lucky ladies!  We had a BLAST last time doing this so I know it will be just as much fun this time around!

Okay, so here are the details!

JUNE JACKPOT

Dates: June 1, 2010 at 9:00 AM MST – July 1, 2010 at 8:00 AM MST

There are TWO kinds of specials running - Jackpot Days and Goodie Box Days!
On Jackpot days, 5 products will be offered for sale at special discounted prices. On each Jackpot day, we've selected one of the 5 products to be the Jackpot item for that day, but you won't know which one it is (isn't it exciting!). If you happen to order the Jackpot item, lucky you! We'll reward you with a fabulous Close To My Heart jackpot, which may be one FREE product or a bundle of several FREE products! For those of you who aren't risk-takers, you'll want to purchase all 5 items to guarantee you'll hit the Jackpot!

If you purchase multiple quantities of the Jackpot item, you'll receive multiple products FREE. So, buy as many as you'd like of each item—there's no limit—and you could be a big winner!

The free items will be featured on the Jackpot June shopping page, alongside the 5 discounted products. We'll send your FREE items with the products you've ordered—and we'll pay the shipping/handling for your free items! Special shipping is offered on the discounted products you purchase: just $0.99 US / $1.99 CAN for each item.

So, how do you know if you've hit the Jackpot? Each day we'll announce what the Jackpot item was for the previous day on www.facebook.com/closetomyheart and at www.closetomyheart.com.

On Goodie Box days, you will be able to purchase a Goodie Box filled with wonderful Close To My Heart products at 50% or more off retail value. The Goodie Box contents will vary by day (we're not revealing specifics but you'll be thrilled!) and will include favorite current and retired stamp sets, paper packets, embellishments, and other great scrapbooking, stamping, and cardmaking items.

We have made every effort to differentiate the Goodie Box offerings by date so you can purchase boxes on different dates and receive a wide variety of products. The prices of the boxes will vary but each will be at least 50% off retail value. The higher the box price, the greater your savings from the original retail value. We're also offering discounted shipping. How much is shipping/handling for the Goodie Box deals?  For the US, shipping for a Goodie Box will range from $7.00 US to $9.00 US.
Now that you know all the details - go check out some of the Mystery Goodie Boxes I received last July when we had a similar campaign!  My biggest box had $350 worth of stuff for just $125!

These are just a couple of links to the goodie boxes - there were 6 in all last campaign and they were all fabulous deals!  This time around the products will be different but this gives you a good idea of what these goodie boxes are like.  Its a great way to build up a stash of products for holiday gift making or for gifts for your crafty friends.  Heck, tell your hubby to shop for you for your birthday, anniversary or "just because I love you day" and you'll get something you REALLY want!  Happy shopping!

Open House Make and Take with CTMH Splendor, A Little Buzz, Leave Your Mark and Glitz

Sorry the first picture is so washed out.  It really didn't look like that to me when I took the photo!  This is the cute card we made with the new Splendor paper pack at my Open House on April 30th.  Isn't that little bug the cutest?  Its from a new set called A Little Buzz that has a bunch of sweet sentiments you can put together to make them say different things along with 4 adorable bugs.    The close ups show our new Glitz Stardust layered on top of our Watercolor pencils.  This stuff is so cool because you get all the glitter without all the MESS!  I love a bit of sparkle but I really dreaded using my Prisma glitter in classes because it just gets all over.  Even in my own craft room one project with glitter would leave me sparkling in spots and get on projects I didn't want to be sparkly.  I'm so glad CTMH came out with this new product to solve that problem AND its cheap - just $2.95 for a 1oz bottle!

Asian inspired Good Health card with CTMH Wisdom and Cuttlebug Embossing

I love the texture of dry embossing on cards - it just adds so much depth to even a simple card like this.  I used a Colonial White base to emboss and then brushed over it with Desert Sand to make the embossing pop.  We made this card during our April Stamp Camp with the option of using any of the 4 images from the Wisdom stamp set - health, family, love or peace.  I chose health to have some get well type cards on hand.

Materials Used:
Stamps:  CTMH Wisdom (retired)
Other:  Cuttlebug Embossing Folder (I think this one is called Bamboo), Gold brads

Happy Mother's Day with CTMH Tree Tops

This is the Mother's Day card I sent to my mother-in-law this year.  I lifted this card from a fellow consultant on the CTMH Consultant Bulletin Board - a huge perk of being a consultant is access to other consultants fabulous ideas!  I just loved the fun use of punched circles on this one and as one of my friends said - "you can't go wrong with Treetops (that's the stamp set), anything you make with it is cute"!  Very true!

I hope all you Moms out there are having a wonderful Mother's Day this Sunday!  My family did a great job of making me feel loved this morning.  One of my all time favorite quotes about being a Mom is from Jackie Kennedy - she said basically "if you screw up raising your kids, nothing else you do will matter very much".  I couldn't agree more.  Here's to all us hardworking Moms out there who give their all to their families and here's to all the precious kids who make being a Mom worth the effort!  Happy, happy Mother's Day!

CTMH Cherry-O, Splendor, Passages and Zippidee Workshops on the Go or Kit of the Month

I've had several questions about the Workshop on the Go kits (what I also sometimes call our Kit of the Month as there are 4 kits and 4 months to each Idea Book).  These kits are available during the Idea Book that they are released in - so in the May-August 2010 Idea Book we have available in KIT FORM a workshop for Cherry-O, Passages, Splendor and Zippidee

Cherry-O Workshop Kit - $29.95
Cherry-O Additional Layout
Cherry-O Additional Cards

Passages Workshop Kit - $29.95
Passages Additional Layout
Passages Additional Cards

Splendor Workshop Kit - $29.95
Splendor Additional Layout
Splendor Additional Cards

Zippidee Workshop Kit - $29.95
Zippidee Additional Layout
Zippidee Additional Cards

Each of the kits are just $29.95 and come with the following items:

- Level 2 Paper Pack (12 sheets of patterned paper and 10 sheets of coordinating cardstock in 4 colors)
- Exclusive coordinating B size stamp set (cannot be purchased separately, must order the kit to get this stamp)
- One full size embellishment
- One workshop guide which gives you full cutting, assembly and embellishing directions for BOTH a 2 page layout AND a card workshop where you make 6 cards (2 each of 3 designs). There is also additional artwork shown that uses our how-to books to complete.

There is also a "best" option accessory listed (usually between $5-$10) that is an additional embellishment you can use in your workshop to kick it up a notch artistically. These are optional add ons but they really add a whole lot to the art of the pieces you create.

These kits are an INCREDIBLE deal. Not only are you getting a discount on the package (usually about $2-$3) but they take you step by step through making truly beautiful projects, learning new techniques and USING what you purchase. You won't buy a beautiful paper pack and then worry about cutting into it or not knowing what to make with that stamp set you purchased - you'll be able to pull out your brochure and get started that day! YOU can choose what you want to do - scrap, make cards or BOTH. You'll have LOTS of patterned paper left over to make additional projects. Each time I use a kit I make the featured 2 page layout, the additional 2 page layout, the cardmaking workshop (6 cards) and the additional cards (6 more cards) or a total of 4 layouts and 12 cards with TONS of paper leftover. I usually run out of the cardstock first so I just make sure I have extra of the matching neutral (White Daisy or Colonial White in general).

I truly LOVE this new workshop program that we have! I've looked at other "kit of the month" type of programs out there and our price ROCKS! Plus when you run out of the paper pack you can BUY MORE of just the paper ($12.95 for a Level 2 pack) - you'll have the stamp set to use already! This is how I buy all my new paper packs now - I love that the kits always come with a brand new accessory for me to try, that I can use the stamps not only with the kit but other paper packs and I love using the brochures to create cards and layouts in other papers that I have on hand. The versatility, flexibility and value of these kits is what I love to share with my group of friends! I hope you'll take a minute to check these out!

If you have ANY questions, please don't hesitate to contact me by either leaving a comment here or via my e-mail at paigedolecki (at) yahoo.com. Happy shopping!

Altered Clothespin Thinking of You Tag with CTMH Butterfly Kiss and CTMH Tender Tags

Aren't these just super cute?  I've seen altered clothespins like this floating around lately and wanted to make a version of it for my April Stamp Camp.  I used Juniper re-inker and mixed it with our Ceramacoat White Paint.  I painted 18 of theses, cut tiny strips of paper from our Perfect Day kit and stamped a butterfly and a tag out in Creme Brulee ink.  Voila!  One adorable item to add to the top of a bag of goodies, place on the front of a card or attach to the front of a gift.  I'm looking forward to making more of these in different themes - very easy, fun and customizable!

Tomorrow I'm off to the orthopedic surgeons with my middle child for a knee injury.  He fell on the cement floors at school today and badly injured his knee.  The kid did it at the beginning of the day, went to the office for ice, went back to class and stayed for the rest of the day.  I couldn't believe it when he limped through the door that he didn't just call us to come get him.  Ugh - sometimes my kids take school TOO seriously!  I've always lived by the credo that God only gives us as much as we can handle but goodness, I think I'm maxed out for a while!  This girl is ready for some GOOD things to come her way!

Materials Used:
Paper:  Perfect Day
Stamps:  Buterfly Kiss, Tender Tags
Inks:  Juniper re-inker, Creme Brulee
Other:  Connection Club Pearls (love these!), Liquid Glass

Flower Pot Card for Mother's Day with CTMH From Me to You, Post Marked

Here is an update on one of my very favorite cards - the flower pot card!  I have a tutorial with measurements for this card on my blog here.  I've updated this one with a fresh color palette - brown bag with amethyst and sunflower.   This is another one of the 12 we did at Stamp Camp for April.

The flower stamp is from our retired From Me to You card kit - I love, love, love that daisy image and am so excited that we're getting a daisy SOTM for August 2010!  Can't wait to play with that one!

Materials Used:
Stamp:  From Me to You (retired), Post Marked (retired - little tag)
