Swimming Fish Card saying hello to my blog friends!

Hello again to all my blog friends!  Its so nice to get back into my craft room after a two week hiatus!  Between my in-laws being out and all three of my kids getting the same nasty cold/ear infection (of course one after another to take the maximum amount of time to get better - LOL) its been two weeks since I've had time to really sit and play.

While I'm waiting for my new goodies from the upcoming Fall/Winter Idea Book to show up, I'm playing catch up on some challenges.  I made this card with the fabulous sketch on the Heart2Heart Challenge blog this week.  The sketch is fun and the design team did some beautiful work with this one!  I went more fun and funky and was thinking about a fish race in the ocean when I put this together.

Materials Used:
Paper:  Fanfare Level 2, Black CS
Stamps:  Hot Diggity (fish and sentiment), True Happiness (waves)

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope your day is sunny and funny!

Such a cute take on the sketch! I would have never thought to do something like this. I need a birthday card for my youngest male cousin and this would be perfect. Thanks for the inspiration!

What an adorable card, Paige! Kind of reminds me of one of my very favorite books when I was a kid: Dr. Seuss's One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. :-) Thanks for playing along with us at H2H this week!

What a cute card! I have both of stamp sets and they look so good together! Love the circles too--are they from Hit the Spot? Really cute!

Hi Karen -

The paper is actually one from Fanfare that already has circles on it. I simply used a bit of Glitz glitter gel to bring out the circles a bit and change up how the paper feels.

I like doing that with liquid glass too - its an easy and fun way to give an older paper a new feel!
