Birthday Party Scene Card with Pennants and Balloons

A couple of days ago I shared how I won a spot in the 2011 Summer Online Card Class being held by Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner.  This morning I received my first pdf file with the color combination for the week AND two superb sample cards by the card mavens themselves!  Here is the card I made this morning with the color combination and I'm just in LOVE with this combo!
I had so much fun putting together the little party pennants - here is a close up of the pennants and balloons.

Materials Used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Paper:  Sky CS, Gypsy CS, Susnet CS, White Daisy CS
Stamps:  Over the Rainbow (cloud), Birthday Bash (retired, balloons), American Celebration (July SOTM, Celebrate tag), Fanfare WOTG stamp (Its Party Time tag), Party Pennants (pennants)
Inks:  Sunset, Cotton Candy, Gypsy, Versamark
Other:  White Daisy Embossing Powder, Hollyhock brads, Twine, Pink Ribbon (Michaels)

Thanks for stoppy by!  I hope you'll find some inspiration from the class materials I'm allowed to share and if so, please leave a comment so I can check it out!

Hugs,

Paige

Springtime Thinking of You Card with CTMH Blessed and Over the Rainbow

This sweet card uses the April SOTM "Blessed" just like my last posting with the rainbow butterflies only this time I've used the beautiful sentiment and the tulip flowers that come with the stamp set too!

I've used some old Heavenly Blue gingham print paper for the background and stamped the clouds, sentiment and flowers directly onto the paper.  I then stamped the butterflies and the flower heads onto separate cardstock, cut them out and pop-dotted them onto the piece for dimension.  The leaves were colored in using our Waterbrush and Topiary inkpad directly onto the patterned paper as well.  The cocoa ink outlines ran a wee bit because of the waterbrush moisture so I went back in after they dried with a watercolor pencil to fill in any lines that had become fuzzy.

If you'd like to make this card, get these materials:
Paper:  White Daisy Cardstock, Heavenly Blue Gingham (very old and retired)
Stamps:  Blessed (April SOTM), Over the Rainbow
Other:  Clear Sparkles (heads of the butterflies), Watercolor Pencils, Waterbrush

Happy World Cardmaking Day! You are my sunshine card with Jingle, Treasures and Over the Rainbow

Happy World Cardmaking Day to everybody!  Last night I had a really fun Stamp Camp to celebrate World Cardmaking Day today.  Above was just one of the 20 projects available to make last night.  This one was definitely one of my favorites!  I used the cloud from the "Over the Rainbow" set to stamp the sky and one of the sentiments from the "Treasures" stamp set.  The sun is simply a large white scallop with heavy sponging in Creme Brulee overlaid with a Creme Brulee circle.  A little bit of Glitz and a red sparkle add just enough pizzaz without making this an overly girly card.

Materials Used:
Paper:  Jingle Level 2, Tulip Cardstock, Heavenly Blue Cardstock
Stamps:  Over the Rainbow, Treasures
Inks:  Creme Brulee, Heavenly Blue
Other:  Glitz, Red Sparkles
