Heart2Heart Challenges - Fern Color Challenge!

This week at Heart2Heart Challenges we are hosting a Fern Color challenge in honor of March and St. Patrick's Day.  I decided to have some fun with my new C1643 Stuck on You stamp set, our Charlotte Papers and our adhesive springs to make a fun motion card today.
I decided to try three different techniques to make my cacti each look different while still using the same Fern ink color.

1.  Cactus on the left -Stamped the outline in Fern then reversed the stamp on the block, inked and stamped off for Second Generation Fern and then rolled the edges in Fern before stamping the back of the stamp onto the outline.
2.  Middle cactus - Stamped the outline in Fern ink and then using a Waterbrush filled in with Fern ink directly from my inkpad.  Then I stamped the outline a second time to give it a darker look.
3. Cactus on the right - Stamped the outline in Fern, used the back of the stamp and inked up in Fern but stamped off twice to get Third Generation Fern ink before stamping over the outline stamp.
I used an Adhesive Spring (you get 6 in a package for $2.95) to give my center cactus movement. I like the way it seems to pop off the card and wobble around ready to stick you with a prickly.  I also used some of our Silver Sequins to mimic a gravel bed and a touch of Fern Thick Twine on the stamped sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll grab some Fern green and have some fun with us this week at Heart2Heart Challenges!  Stay crafty my friends!
