Hello card with Marker Blended flower and acetate window

On Tuesday we received an awesome video tutorial with instructions for creating an acetate window card with frame and also how to blend with dye markers.  This is the card I created with the two techniques so I could practice.  We're still using the same color combinations, this time I switched it up so the orange was the predominate color.  I had a really, really hard time getting a good photo of the acetate window - I think it was the differnce with the depth of field and how the light caught it so this was my best shot.

Here is a close up of the marker blended flowers and leaves.  The look reminds me of watercolors - so soft and pretty!

Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of You with Color Me Monday Challenge and CTMH Veranda Kit stamp, Gracious Greetings

I'm really enjoying the Color Me Monday challenges found on Jeanette Lynton's website!  This unusual combination made for a wonderful spring colored card!  The first photo doesn't show much of the Pearl paint I added to the edges of the card for some vintage softness.  This photo shows the shimmer much better:

I've used a tiny bit of Creme Brulee cardstock as "thread" inside the buttons.

Materials Used:
Paper:  Key Lime textured CS, Heavenly Blue textured CS, Creme Brulee CS, Holiday Creative Basics retired (Ponderosa Pine roses - I made these earlier as a test and decided to use them even though they weren't olive), Caboodle Level 2 (Heavenly Blue roses)
Stamps:  Veranda's Thinking of You from the Basic Kit, Gracious Greeting
Ink:  Olive
Other:  Pearl Paint, Spring Craft Buttons, Martha Stewart Butterfly punch, Martha Stewart Corner punch

Vintage Christmas Card using CTMH Gracious Greetings, Cuttlebug Allegro Embossing Folder, Jingle Paper

This is my favorite card this year. I just love the soft vintage look this card has! I used the Cuttlebug Embossing folder to create the background on some Sweet Leaf cardstock and then used a brayer to apply Chocolate ink on top to bring out the emobssing and distress the background. I added our Happy Holidays greeting from the Gracious Greeting set in Tulip with a bit of Jingle paper pack to frame. The snowflakes are also punched (Martha Stewart) from the polka dot Jingle paper and a couple of strips from my new Martha Stewart edge punch were added in Colonial White to help frame the whole thing. I aslo used some Bamboo ink to distress the Colonial White pieces.

Materials Used:
Paper: Sweet Leaf Cardstock, Colonial White Cardstock, Jingle Level 2
Stamps: Gracious Greetings
Ink: Tulip, Chocolate, Bamboo, Tulip marker
Other: Blush Ribbon, Baby Pink Brads, Martha Stewart punches, brayer
