Game On Challenge for Heart2Heart Challenges

This week's challenge at Heart2Heart Challenges theme is "Game On".  I'm pretty sure most of you can figure out that I went with a Scrabble theme for my card!  Do the dashes and dots on the card edge remind you of morse code too?

I put a bit of Liquid Glass on the Santa tiles to pop them up and give them a bit more emphasis - its a clue to which word to read first.

I cut the tiles from an retired paper pack called Cruisin'.  I've been using our Metallic Markers a whole lot lately for Christmas projects and I LOVE them!  They give a nice thick shiny layer and don't smell bad like Sharpies do.  They come ins a silver/gold set perfect for adding a dash of shine to your holiday projects.

I hope you'll stop by Heart2Heart Challenges this week and joing the fun with our Game ON challenge!

Stay crafty my friends!

Santa Hershey Candy Bar Pull

Thanks for joining me today on the Festive Friday Blog Hop!  If you came here from Jamie's Blog then you are on the right path.  This hop is a circular hop so if you keep going you'll come right back here after seeing lots of fun holiday items!

For today's hop I'm sharing a project I've made for a boutique show I'm doing tomorrow - an adorable Santa Claus Hershey Candy Bar Pull.  The idea for these has been around for years but this year I upped my ante on these cuties by using our Glitter paper to make the buckle and the buttons for Santa's coat.  I love the way they came out!

I added a layer of Liquid Glass on top of the black glitter circles to give them extra dimension and shine - they really do look like magic buttons.  I even embossed his belt to look like leather.  I know, I know, I was having too much fun!

The boutique show is tomorrow night so wish me luck!  I've made a bunch of different projects for sale at this show and I also have a couple of other shows lined up now too.  Its kind of an "in for a penny, in for a pound" type of thing as I just kept crafting like a mad woman over the past couple of weeks.  I might even post a few things on my blog for sale in the next couple of weeks for quick stocking stuffers so if you are interested, send me a note!

Now hop on over to Mary Ellen's Blog and see what she has to share this month!

Thanks for stopping by!

Artiste Word Bubble Doodle Cards - Long Distance and Local Kits Available!

Today I am the DT blogger for Heart2Heart Challenges and its a good thing because I've been MIA from my own blog for two weeks!  Too many things going on in October in my house so I'm glad to be rolling into November now!

Today's challenge at Heart2Heart Challenges is Gratitude.  I was able to share on the H2H blog what I do with my family to help them be grateful -I ask them to tell me three good things about their day.  They can share anything they want - that they enjoyed their sandwich at lunch, they had a funny conversation at school, they did a good job on a homework assignment, a good book they are reading, just about anything as long as it made them feel good.  I started this years ago to help us focus on having an "attitude of gratitude" and keep our hearts and minds positive.  Give it a try with your family and you might be surprised and illuminated by what their answers reveal!

When it comes to my craft room the thing I have the most gratitude for is my Cricut and the Close to my Heart cartridges - Art Philosophy, Artiste and Artbooking.  I adore not having to fuss with dies to create class materials and I love using Cricut Craft Room because I can then export and share the projects I create. I'm grateful for our fab acrylic stamps that coordinate with cuts on the carts making my life so much easier. Plus my art has definitely been taken up a notch by using this awesome tool!  There is nothing better than just feeding paper in one after another and having an entire layout workshop pop out!  And lets face it, there is no way I could ever purchase 700 dies (or want to store them) for just $99!

With that in mind, for this challenge I created a 6 card class using Artiste and the Word Bubble stamp which is one of the three sets that comes with the Artiste Cricut Bundle.  I wanted to create some fun and funky doodle cards with this set and I really like the way they came out!  For the next 5 days I'll be sharing the cards for this class and how you can order a kit for yourself!

YOU are one of my three good things...
