CTMH Clementine Cutie

Hello friends!

I'm back after a couple days off spent with my family travelling around beautiful Washington State.  We traveled up to Levenworth and Wenatchee and visited one of our all-time favorite places Ohme Gardens.  Its an amazing alpine garden created by a family starting in the 1930's and worked on for decades to get it to its present beautiful state.  Each time we go I am overwhelmed by the beauty of the gardens and also by the determination, vision and persistence it took this family to create an botanical masterpiece over their lifetime.

It was a fun last-minute kind of trip as my husband unexpectedly was able to take time off from work. I love having him home so I didn't mind taking time off from working on my open house but now I need to kick it into high gear!  The kids and I tested out the new cotton candy maker last night - boy howdy that thing is FUN!  If you are in the Seattle Eastside area I'd love to have you come to my Summer Customer Carnival on Thursday, 23 August- see all the details by clicking this link and then send me an e-mail to RSVP!

Now, on to the art you came here to see!  This cutie was made with our new Clementine western themed papers.  Even the big flower embellishment was cut from the bold printed paper for this one.  I made this card before our new burlap ribbon arrived - ours is much lighter and I like it a lot better but this was what I had on hand!
The star shape in one of our Milepost corrugated cardboard shapes.  I simply colored in using cocoa ink on the ridges and white daisy ink inside the valleys and then topped it off with a Baker's Twine bow.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I will probably be posting only once or twice a week while I'm getting ready for the open house Summer Customer Carnival but I'll have a TON of artwork to share after the event!

Hugs!

Paige

I love how you colored the star. It looks blue in your picture, so I had to double-check what you did to create it. Beautiful!

Thanks Casandra! I really love our corrugated shapes as you can color one or both sections and create funky striped accents!

Excellent use of the patterned paper. I think the rounded corners give it just the right touch. :-)
