Mini Scrapbook in a Frame with Roxie, Limited Edition and Art Philosophy

Welcome to the September Stamp of the Month Blog hop featuring "Limited Edition". If you have come here from Cindy's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around just by clicking on the links at the end of the post.

This project came to me in a flash of inspiration, which was good as I was really struggling with what to make with this set!  I love the projects they showed in the Idea Book but didn't want to make something too similar so I really had to think about what I could make that was a little more out of the box for this set.  I think I achieved "out of the box" but now I'm in a frame!  This is actually one of those $1 cheapie wooden picture frames from Michael's Crafts that I've painted and faced with Roxie paper but here is the surprise - inside the opening is a pull out mini-book!

Here is a close up of the front of the accordian album.  The tag is stamped with several images from the set and I thought the clock made the perfect bird belly.

You can either untie the ribbon or simply pull the flap from under it and here comes the accordian album!

The pages are size just right for the wallet or wallet minis that you get from school pictures. This will be a lovely way to display my three kids photos when they get their Fall school pictures taken.  I also have two journaling areas for the year and the kid's grade levels to be written.

Here are the last two pages closer up so you can see the stamped journaling tag and the sweet little heart surprise at the end.  The heart is attached to the backing black cardstock on the flip side of the frame.

If you'd like to make this project, get these supplies:
Other:  Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge, Silver Glitz, Black Grosgrain Ribbon, White Hemp, Black Paint, $1 frame at Michael's (this one has a 3.5"x3.5" opening)
Now "Hop" on over to Angela's Blog to see her work!
Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the September SOTM is only available until the 30th!  You can purchase this set outright for $17.95 or get it for just $5 with a $50 purchase by clicking here!

Thanks for stopping by!

Roxie Birthday Card

This is my favorite project I've made so far with Roxie.  I love the mixture of sassy prints with the vintage feel stamped tag.  I used Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the two front tags, the border and the leaves.  The rose was stamped in black and tulip and hand cut with a layer of Red Glitz brushed over top while the black pieces were glammed up with Silver Glitz.
For the sentiment tag I stamped the Cricut shape in 2nd generation Desert Sand with the matching stamp and then over-stamped with the music notes from Universal Backgrounds in 2nd generation Desert Sand again.  I like layered stamping as it gives terrific depth to a project.

Roxie Friendship Card

Our new Roxie paper pack is such a fun combination of tans, blacks, pinks and reds - not to mention zebra, cheetah and florals!  I made this fun card for my art boards using a stamp that is still available but not in the current Idea Book called "From My Heart".  The big hearts in this set have writing inside and are great for flooding with liquid glass to make an expoxy-look embellishment.

Don't you just love those giant Bling buttons? Those are the smaller button in the set - the big ones are huge!
Materials Used:
Paper:  Roxie
Ink:  Black

Acorn Card with Art Philosophy Cricut and Dreamin' papers

Getting ready for my Open House was so much fun because it gave me a chance to start putting my Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge through its paces.  I'm *still* finding new images on this thing that I didn't really see the first several times through the book.  One of the things I love is all the shaped card bases BUT I am also excited to play with making a regular shape INTO a shaped card base.

I took the acorn image and blew it up to 5.5" and cut two extras to mount them on for a card base.  To stick them together I simply scored a small line about .25" in on one edge and glued them together.  After I put the cap on I added some lines of Bronze Glitz Glitter Gel to add some pizzaz.  The tag is also on the cartridge - I just stamped the sentiment from the new "Harvest Happiness" set.

Super simple, super cute and it will fit into a regular sized envelope for mailing!  There are several shapes on the cartridge with matching little tags that include a negative of the image so you can make lots of different shaped cards like this!

Materials Used:
Paper:  Dreamin'
Inks:  Chocolate

Vintage Autumn Botanical Card with CTMH Mischief and Background-Charmed

Hello, my name is Paige and I am a sucker for anything with Pumpkins on it.  There is just something so cheery about those big orange gourds!

It all started when I was a kid and we grew pumpkins for wholesale and retail sale.  We had a couple of acres and my Dad paid us by the hour for planting, hoeing, harvesting and 10% of our individual retail sales.  Yep, I always had a good stash of Christmas money each year!

When I saw the adorable new stamp set "Background-Charmed" in the new Idea Book it went to the top of my must-get list.  Not only does it have an awesome graveyard with bats scene but it has this gorgeous botanical pumpkin scene as well.  I inked it up in Sunset and did some rock-and-rolling in Chocolate ink.

I used the brown striped paper in our new Mischief set and one of our new Pin Clips to showcase the sentiment tucked into the ribbon.  The diamond paper is just Chocolate cardstock with the diamond stamp from "All Hallow's Eve" in Chocolate on top, shabbied up with a bit of sanding.

I finally finished my artwork boards for my upcoming Open House so I've lots more to share over the next couple of weeks!  Now I'd best get off the computer so my kids can get in the pool!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Materials Used:
Paper:  Mischief
Stamps:  Backdrop-Charmed, All Hallows Eve
Ink:  Sunset, Chocolate
Other:  Pin Clips, Mocha Opaques, Cocoa Grosgrain Ribbon, Art Philosophy Cartridge (for the sign shape)

Congratulations card using Typeset and Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

I had so much fun playing with new product to make this card!  I started by cutting the card base and first layer with the new Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  I am SO in LOVE with this product! Do you see the medallion in the center of the card?  I made it by cutting out the scallop shape and then stamping with a matching stamp that comes in the Cricut bundle.  Cricut to cut out and clear Acrylix to get perfect stamp alignment - truly a dynamic duo!

I've been a fan of our Glitz Glitter Gel since we first came out with the Stardust shimmery version but this new Bronze colored Glitter Gel is just to die for!  Can't wait to use the Silver and Red too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Gnome Home Shaped Card for New Product Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the New Product Blog Hop being hosted by Tresa Black at Fabulously Artsy!  Today is the first day the new Fall/Winter Idea Book is LIVE so today a bunch of us will be featuring new product projects on our blogs to wet your whistle!

There are always a few stamp sets from each Idea Book that scream PICK ME FIRST and for me "Gnome Garden" was one of them!  Could this little guy be any cuter?  When I saw this shaped card base in the AP (Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge) I immediately thought of Hobbit houses and knew it would be perfect for what I wanted to create.

The card base and small banner pieces were made with our new Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  What a dream to be able to just select and cut for those!  The rest of the pieces I embossed in Cocoa and colored with Watercolor Pencils.

To check out the new Fall/Winter Idea Book and get your hands on some of the incredible goodies inside - lower stamp set prices, cardstock weight B&T papers, Cricut bundle with matching stamps and dimensional elements, and more then click this link to visit my website!

Materials Used:
Paper:  Elemental Level 2, Colonial White CS, Chocolate CS
Stamps:  Gnome Garden, Tiny Typewriter (for letters)
Ink:  Olive, Chocolate, Black, Versamark
