Welcome to the April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop featuring our limited edition Life in Pictures stamp set!  If you've come here from Tammy's Blog you are on the right track.  If you get lost along the way, the complete listing of participating Consultant bloggers can be found here.

The card base is our lovely Cashmere color cardstock - such a beautiful neutral! It lends a softness to any project.

Artistry Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop - BRAND NEW CTMH CARTRIDGE!

Welcome to the Artistry Blog Hop!  I am THRILLED to introduce you to the newest CTMH cart called Artistry which is filled to the brim with icons, banners, detailed sentiments, overlays and more! If you've come here from Melinda's Blog you are on the right track!

Today I'm sharing something a little bit different and hopefully as funny to you all as my family found it.  My college girl had a cruddy start to her day today so when I sat down to create for this blog hop I decided to make her a card to cheer her up.  Let's face it, not every day is sunshine and roses and sometimes we need cards for those rough days too!
I've used the font from the new Artistry cartridge as well as the topping to this coffee image. I'm not sure if its because it's sparkly or because of the eyes but I just can't help laughing at this one.
The font on this new cartridge is AWESOME for making cards and layouts with negative cuts.  It is designed to have open holes in the letters so you don't have to save little bits and pieces from your mats to insert back into your letters. The font alone on the Artistry cartridge makes it a must have to me!
Remember, now with Artistry you can order the physical cartridge through me for $99 OR you can get a Digital Download code bundle for just $79!  Both bundles come with the same 3 fabulous D size stamp sets PLUS a package of our new Enchantment Palette Cardstock  - $68.35 in total of add ons!  That is like getting the digital cartridge for as low as $10.35!!!  If you mainly use CCR or DS then this is a great way to go!  You can see all the fun images on a blog post and video I made by clicking here.

Ready to order your copy?  I know you'll love it! Shop my store here:

Red, White and Blue - Use Your Stash Blog Hop!

Today at Use Your Stash Blog Hops we have a three color challenge - use any 3 colors plus the addition of Black and/or White to create your item. If you are coming here from Shirley's blog you are on the right track!

The colors I chose are Smoothie, Crystal Blue and Gold with a wee dash of black and white. I wanted to make a card to use this awesome sentiment from our Operation Smile Happy Everything stamp set.

Triangles are a hot trend right now so I decided to add some glitter tape triangle confetti to give this card a bit more dash. I had to watch my fingers when trimming as our MicroTip Scissors are SHARP but I love the non-stick surface for cutting sticky items!
Now hop on over to my friend and Convention buddy Sheila's blog and see what she has created for us today from her stash!  I had so much fun hanging out with Sheila during Convention and playing at Disneyland with her my last morning there!

July Jump on It Blog Hop

Welcome to the Jump on It Blog Hop!  Today we are showcasing stamps from the July Jump on It promotion including the Hostess Rewards Stamp Sets from the Annual Inspirations book as well as the Seasonal Expressions 2 book which you can get for just $5 with a $25 order.  For more information about the July Special - read the info at the bottom of this post!  If you've come here from my friend and Convention buddy Tracey's Blog you are on the right track!  This hop is one big circle so if you keep going you'll eventually come back here but if you get lost along the way you can find the complete list of all participating CTMH Consultants by clicking HERE.

This project was inspired by some of the new products in the upcoming Annual Inspirations book I received during the CTMH Convention last week in Disneyland.  I'll have updates and some sneak peeks coming over the next few weeks but I just have to say I'm VERY excited for the coming year!
This card is 3.5"x6" - not a size I normally work in but I wanted to do the Zig Zag folder with embossed foil and then color with Shinhan markers so I knew I didn't want a huge area to color.
I used the Happy Hexagons stamp set for the center sentiment as well as to stamp the heart border using Gypsy ink on Gypsy Cardstock.  I added a few Gold Sequins, a knot of Glacier Thick Twine and a scattering of Black Enamel Stars and a folded rosette heart.

Ready for the awesomeness that is the Jump on It July Promotion?  During July when you purchase $25 in current, retail priced stamps you can get the July SOTM for FREE or you can get ANY of the Hostess Rewards stamps from Annual Inspirations or Expressions 2 for just $5!  Best part - you can do that for EACH $25 you order in stamps so if you order $50 in stamps you can get the FREE SOTM and a $5 Hostess Rewards exclusive stamp!  The selected stamps will automatically pop up when you place your qualifying stamp order.  For more information click HERE.

Ready to "JUMP ON IT" and get in on the action?  Place your order on my website at:

Happy Everything Blog Hop - Operation Smile Stamp!

Welcome to the Happy Everything Blog Hop!  Today we are showcasing our new Operation Smile stamp set Happy Everything.  If you've come here from Angela's Blog you are on the right track.  This hop is one big circle so eventually you'll come back here but if you do get lost along the way, the full listing of participating CTMH Consultants can be found HERE.

This stamp set is so versatile and fun that I had a hard time picking what kind of card I wanted to make!  In the end I decided to create a bright and cheery birthday card using our Shinhan Touch Twin markers.
I used the fine tip end to color in my balloons and some of our white enamel stars to match my color scheme.  I *love* that you can use our alcohol markers to color match accessories perfectly!  The balloon shine was created by using the Colorless Blender marker to remove just a bit of color from each balloon.
I think this sweet sentiment will work great for teen cards and adult cards too!
I used the thicker end of the markers to color diagonal stripes of each color overlapping to make a rainbow.  A dash of Black Shimmer Trim behind it finishes off my Art Philosophy Cricut Cut shape.

Operation Smile is a wonderful charity you can read about HERE.  I'm so proud to work for a company that supports this group and directly impacts the life of so many children each year.  Each time you purchase one of our exclusive and adorable Operation Smile stamp sets $3 is given to this cause!

March Use Your Stash Blog Hop - Being Green

Welcome to the March edition of the Use Your Stash Blog Hop - It's Not Easy Being Green!  If you've come here from Sheila's Blog you are on the right track!
I'm ready for green growing things and happy days which made me think of our old Spendor paper pack - I love that grassy paper and thought doing an Easter egg scene with hard to find green eggs would be a hoot!  I pulled out two new stamp sets - Hopping By (the eggs) and Rain or Shine (the clouds) and a group of green family Shinhan Touch Twin markers.  I was even able to use some SUPER old Heavenly Blue B&T paper and my Martha Stewart fringing scissors!

Hopping By - D1633

Rain or Shine - D1634

March Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Choose Happy

Welcome to the March SOTM Blog Hop featuring "Choose Happy"!  If you've come here from Krista's Blog you are on the right track.  This hop is a big circle of CTMH consultants so eventually you'll come back here but if you get lost along the way you can find the complete list of participating bloggers here.

I wanted to showcase the fun frames that come with this set so I decided to create a waterfall card and have the words from the set form a sentence as the frames flipped.  This was my first ever waterfall card but it was so easy and fun to put together that I'll be making more of these in the future!
Interactive cards look best when shown in motion so here is a quick video that shows you how the frames flip up and the phrases become a sentence.  If you are getting this via e-mail, you'll need to click the title of this post to visit my blog and see the video.

February SOTM Blog Hop - A Happy Hello

Welcome to our February SOTM blog hop!  This month almost 70 CTMH Consultants are featuring the build-a-flower themed February SOTM "A Happy Hello".  If you've come from Lauren's Blog you are on the right track. If you get lost along the way, the complete listing of all participating blogs is found by clicking here.

This bright fun card is a single layer of stamped White Daisy Cardstock perfect for popping in the mail.  After stamping the half circle in layers of color, I filled in the centers using two 3" circles as a mask.  It actually stamped up quickly even though it looks like a complicated design.
I used our Silver Sequin Assortment to create an ombre effect - the lightest silver sequins are on the top row and the darkest are on the bottom row.
I love the sentiment in this set - perfect for a thinking of you type of card.  This one is going in the mail to my daughter who loves bright bold colors and funky patterns.
Look how many ink colors I used for stamping!  Canary, Sorbet, Pear, Gypsy, Thistle, Crystal Blue and Cotton Candy .  It's a riot of color!

The February SOTM is available for ordering through the 31st at regular price or for just $5 with a $50 order!  To get your set, visit my shopping site:

Shinhan Touch Twin Marker Blog Hop - How to Emboss and Color FoilBackgrounds

Welcome to the Shinhan Marker Blog Hop!  Today our group of CTMH Consultants will be showcasing our new Shinhan Touch Twin alcohol markersIf you are coming from Wendy's Blog then you are on the right track!  This blog hop is a big circle so keep going and you'll head back here.  If you happen to get lost along the way you can find the complete list of hoppers here on Melinda's Blog.

I wanted to try something new for this hop so I made a card with a dry embossed marker colored foil background.  I had this technique kicking around in my head and couldn't wait to try it with our fun Chevron Embossing Folder.  I have a brief How-To for this technique at the end of this post so be sure to scroll to the end.

I colored my Cricut cut words with my Shinhan markers to match the background exactly. Then I added a splash of our retired Pink Glitz Glitter gel to give the heart a little umph.  You could also use our Pink Glitter paper to give it some sparkle!

This one is going off to my college girl for her weekly happy mail.  I miss her so much and I know she gets a boost each time she gets a bit of love from home in her mail box.

Now hop on over to Haley's wonderful blog to see what she has created for you!

Edited to add colors of markers I used:
Reds:
Cherry Pink then Tender Pink

Oranges:
Marigold then Leaf Green

Green Stripes:
Vivid Green then Sap Green

Blues:
Peacock Green then Turquoise Blue

Purples:
Lavender then Peony Purple

How To Create Tin Foil Embossed Papers:

1.  Cut a sheet of Heavy Duty Tin Foil the size of the piece you want to create.  I used Reynolds Wrap Heavy Duty Foil and made a full 12x12" sheet so I could have extra to play around.

2.  Using a sheet of plain CS, apply a thin layer of Bonding Memories Glue all over the CS.  Be sure to get the edges and corners.

3.  Place the foil down on the CS and gently press down to avoid major wrinkles.  A brayer might be helpful at this step. Minor wrinkles will disappear with the dry embossing.

4.  Trim your pieces to fit your embossing folder and dry emboss.  Check your corners and edges and apply a little glue under anything that lifts.

5.  Using your Shinhan Touch Twin marker, color your designs in.  I found the high relief sections were easier to color than the lower debossed sections.

6.  Sit back and admire your fun handiwork and then add it to a project to WOW someone!
