3-D Ornament Christmas Card for Heart2Heart Sparkle and Shine Challenge

Hello my crafty friends!

Today I'm sharing my last post for the Heart2Heart Challenges Design Team this season.  We were challenged to make a project using the colors from our Sparkle and Shine paper pack - Ruby, Juniper, Slate  and White Daisy - such fun Christmas colors I knew I'd have to finish up my term by filling up my Christmas card stash!

This fun 3-D card was created by cutting out 4 of the ornament image, folding down the middle and gluing them back to back.  It will fold down for mailing and pop back up when its pulled from the envelope.  What a fun surprise for the person who gets this for Christmas!

Top view to show the dimension on this one.

This card is also a "Sneak Peek" at an upcoming special workshop kit in January - the kit will be called Cloud 9 and comes with washi tape, glitter tape, some fun embellishments, a super trendy stamp set and 5 awesome card patterns.  I took the card patterns and put them all into CCR and cut the workshop featuring different papers and accessories.  I just LOVE how beautiful and classy our patterns are - if you change up the papers and embellishments you get a whole new feel!

I'll be sharing the rest of the cards over the next week or so and then show you a picture of the Cloud 9 kit - you're going to LOVE it!  It will be available for $15 with a $35 purchase as of January 1 - so worth it as you get a full D size stamp and THREE full accessory packs!

*If you order the kit through me, I'll send you the CCR file so you can cut the entire Cloud 9 kit without having to hassle with a paper trimmer!  My exclusive file uses our Artiste cartridge and I have a bonus layer for the 5 Christmas cards I'll be sharing over the next week as well.  If you love using CCR, consider joining my Hostess Club as I add new files to my exclusive Hostess Club CCR file drive every month!

So are you ready to get your Sparkle and Shine on and join us in this color challenge?  Simply make a project using the color combination of Ruby, Juniper, Slate and White Daisy and link it to Heart2Heart Challenges and you'll sparkle and shine right up through the New Year!

Holiday hugs,

Paige

Snowman Kisses Tic Tac Holder

Welcome to our Festive Friday Blog Hop!

If you have come here from Jamie's Blog you are on the right track!  This hop is circular so if you keep going around you'll eventually get back here.  If there are any links broken along the way, you can get the blog links by visiting Diane, our hop train conductor HERE.

For this month's hop I'm sharing one of the items I created for the Holiday Bazaars I was a vendor at this year.  These little cuties were one of the items that sold out for me.  I had SO much fun doing the holiday craft bazaars and meeting new ladies!

This shot shows the dimension I created by using fabric puff paint for his eyes and belly.  Isn't he too cute?

Thanks for stopping by for our Festive Friday hop!  Now head on over to Mary Ellen's Blog and see what she has created to give you holiday inspiration!

Hope your holiday season is off to a great start!

Video - Swirlin' Shapes - making a dynamic layout

Check out this video from Close to my Heart corporate that shows you how to create a fun dynamic layout using gradually increasing sized shapes using our Cricut cartridges!  This would be a great way to use up scraps of materials and add some pizzazz and movement at the same time!

Frosty Fun Winter Layouts with Artbooking

Here is another video in the Artbooking Made Easy series from CTMH corporate.  Love the beautiful winter layouts!

**If you are receiving this via e-mail, the area below will be blank.  You must click out to title link above in order to see the video.

Pretty cool huh?  I love the ideas they give in the Artbooking Made Easy series.  It's so nice to see the layouts made up with our papers and accessories to compare with the drawings in the Cricut booklet!

This weekend was a fun finale to the craft fair season.  I had a great time at the North Bend Elementary Bazaar and the Si View Holiday Bazaar.  I was so pleased that my items were a hit and several of them sold out completely in the two days!  I'll definitely be scheduling more holiday fairs for next year and coming up with an even greater variety of projects - I didn't even have layouts or cards there!  It was gratifying that so many people liked my items and said they were beautiful.  I think the nicest compliment was the lady who said my table looked like a Pinterest board.  I wish I had taken pictures of the table before the sale - I always seem to think of that AFTER the event, sigh....

Stay crafty my friends!

Video - Making Subway Style Art

Here is a fun video from Close to my Heart showing how to use Modpodge and Cricut cuts to create custom home decor wall art in a subway tile style.  I think this would be a terrific and easy Christmas present to make for someone as long as you have a little time to let things dry between steps!

Anyone going to give this a try?

Hello Card with Artbooking and Artiste

I made a trio of cards today for the Heart2Heart Challenges "Framed Up" challenge using one of the cute photo frames in Artbooking.  I customized some text to read hello and added the balloon and cloud images from Artiste.

Isn't if fun how making a few minor changes to the card - the color of the background, adding some faux stitching and putting on some glitz, changes the feel of the card?

I hope you'll get into the right "frame" of mind and join us in our Framed Up challenge this week at Heart2Heart!

Did you have a nice holiday?  We had a lovely dinner followed by some online shopping and on Friday I hit the sales with all three of my kids - I know, super crazy but we all had a lot of fun.  Yesterday I took the kids to see Frozen along with a couple of my daughter's friends.  The teen girls really loved the movie and my boys thought it was okay.  If you've seen the movie then you'll get this comment from my youngest son "the movie is just like Diehard 1".  Comment if you've figured out why - I don't want to leave spoilers in my post!

Thanks for stopping by my crafty peeps!

Game On Challenge for Heart2Heart Challenges

This week's challenge at Heart2Heart Challenges theme is "Game On".  I'm pretty sure most of you can figure out that I went with a Scrabble theme for my card!  Do the dashes and dots on the card edge remind you of morse code too?

I put a bit of Liquid Glass on the Santa tiles to pop them up and give them a bit more emphasis - its a clue to which word to read first.

I cut the tiles from an retired paper pack called Cruisin'.  I've been using our Metallic Markers a whole lot lately for Christmas projects and I LOVE them!  They give a nice thick shiny layer and don't smell bad like Sharpies do.  They come ins a silver/gold set perfect for adding a dash of shine to your holiday projects.

I hope you'll stop by Heart2Heart Challenges this week and joing the fun with our Game ON challenge!

Stay crafty my friends!

Santa Hershey Candy Bar Pull

Thanks for joining me today on the Festive Friday Blog Hop!  If you came here from Jamie's Blog then you are on the right path.  This hop is a circular hop so if you keep going you'll come right back here after seeing lots of fun holiday items!

For today's hop I'm sharing a project I've made for a boutique show I'm doing tomorrow - an adorable Santa Claus Hershey Candy Bar Pull.  The idea for these has been around for years but this year I upped my ante on these cuties by using our Glitter paper to make the buckle and the buttons for Santa's coat.  I love the way they came out!

I added a layer of Liquid Glass on top of the black glitter circles to give them extra dimension and shine - they really do look like magic buttons.  I even embossed his belt to look like leather.  I know, I know, I was having too much fun!

The boutique show is tomorrow night so wish me luck!  I've made a bunch of different projects for sale at this show and I also have a couple of other shows lined up now too.  Its kind of an "in for a penny, in for a pound" type of thing as I just kept crafting like a mad woman over the past couple of weeks.  I might even post a few things on my blog for sale in the next couple of weeks for quick stocking stuffers so if you are interested, send me a note!

Now hop on over to Mary Ellen's Blog and see what she has to share this month!

Thanks for stopping by!

Artiste Word Bubble Doodle Cards - Long Distance and Local Kits Available!

Today I am the DT blogger for Heart2Heart Challenges and its a good thing because I've been MIA from my own blog for two weeks!  Too many things going on in October in my house so I'm glad to be rolling into November now!

Today's challenge at Heart2Heart Challenges is Gratitude.  I was able to share on the H2H blog what I do with my family to help them be grateful -I ask them to tell me three good things about their day.  They can share anything they want - that they enjoyed their sandwich at lunch, they had a funny conversation at school, they did a good job on a homework assignment, a good book they are reading, just about anything as long as it made them feel good.  I started this years ago to help us focus on having an "attitude of gratitude" and keep our hearts and minds positive.  Give it a try with your family and you might be surprised and illuminated by what their answers reveal!

When it comes to my craft room the thing I have the most gratitude for is my Cricut and the Close to my Heart cartridges - Art Philosophy, Artiste and Artbooking.  I adore not having to fuss with dies to create class materials and I love using Cricut Craft Room because I can then export and share the projects I create. I'm grateful for our fab acrylic stamps that coordinate with cuts on the carts making my life so much easier. Plus my art has definitely been taken up a notch by using this awesome tool!  There is nothing better than just feeding paper in one after another and having an entire layout workshop pop out!  And lets face it, there is no way I could ever purchase 700 dies (or want to store them) for just $99!

With that in mind, for this challenge I created a 6 card class using Artiste and the Word Bubble stamp which is one of the three sets that comes with the Artiste Cricut Bundle.  I wanted to create some fun and funky doodle cards with this set and I really like the way they came out!  For the next 5 days I'll be sharing the cards for this class and how you can order a kit for yourself!

Card #1 of 6

Sneak Peek of Full Class:

Fully cut and stamped kit ready for assembly.  Contains 6 standard sized cards and envelopes with hand stamped sentiment bubbles as shown.  Kit also contains one full package of CTMH Aqua Dots to embellish your cards.  Additional items you will need - fine tip black pen (I used an Extra Fine tip Sharpie), adhesive and pop dots.

HOW TO ORDER YOUR KIT:
Cost of a 6 card kit is $15 + shipping
Get a 12 card kit (2 sets of papers, one Aqua Dots) for $20 + Shipping
Kits must be ordered by 11/15 and will be shipped shortly thereafter.
To order send a note to Paige@Stampologist.com letting me know which kit you'd like and I'll PayPal invoice you for the kit.

I'm grateful to YOU for giving me some space in your inbox and following my blog!  Your sweet comments and your CTMH orders are what keep me going as an artist and a Close to my Heart consultant!

YOU are one of my three good things...
