October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Home for the Holidays Pop Up Card

Welcome to our October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!
We will be featuring October's SOTM, Home for the Holidays.  If you have come here from  Carol's Post, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost, click HERE to find the complete blog hop list!

Since I've been playing with my new Artfully Sent cartridge  for the past week, I decided to show how easy it is to create a custom Pop Up card using a liner piece from Artfully Sent.  I found a pop up liner that had a fairly narrow section to match the width of the image I wanted inside the card.  I cut the liner along with all the cuts from Art Philosophy that match the October SOTM stamp set and created a custom Pop Up using our Snowhaven papers.  A little bit of paper piecing and some Silver Metallic Washi Tape and this card is ready for Christmas!

Here you can see what I meant about a narrow pop up section - as you page through the Artfully Sent manual and look at the different pop up liners, some of them are wider and some are narrower to match the specific card image.

I stamped the bear image three times (Cranberry, Black and Glacier) to be able to paper piece the multi colored image together.  I added just a touch of Liquid Glass to his eyes and nose and then touched his cheeks with our Carmine Shinhan Touch Twin marker.

Here is the Explore File which has the sizing for all the Art Philosophy cuts used for the October SOTM as well as the liner piece from Artfully Sent:

Artfully Sent Page 1 - Pocket Cards!

Here is the fifth and final cut key in Artfully Sent - the Pocket Card!  Anyone out there who is into Picture My Life or pocket style scrapping is going to LOVE these cards!

You get 50 4x6" cards and 50 3x4" cards some with horizontal and some with vertical designs.  You can size them at ANY size you want so you can switch up the 4x6" and the 3x4" cards.  If you don't do PML yet, you can also use these as embellishments on traditional scrapbook pages OR even as card fronts!  I see so many cards these days created by cutting up pocket cards - because you can cut these at any size you need you won't waste paper!

These are so easy to jazz up!  I used the negative pink words on the green card and then added some chalk marker and shimmer trim. Best part?  Because you are putting a backer on to these you can make them double sided with exactly what you want on each side AND they are perfect for using up our old thinner B&T papers!  What could be better than using up old stuff but making something totally new?!?  These papers are from an old Christmas set!

To get your hands on this beauty of a cart, visit my online shopping site today!  If you'd like to make it a party and get rewarded for your purchase, send me a note at Paige@Stampologist.com and I'll set you up!

Artfully Sent Page 1 - Sleeve Cards!

The Sleeve Card key on Artfully sent cuts two different types of cards - a sleeve card and an overlay card.  The sleeve card folds up into a pocket that you can then slip a card or photo inside.  The overlay card is sized at 5x7 and features a full front overlay pattern you can use as is or put contrasting paper behind.
For this card, I borrowed the telephone image from the page 2 pop up as I thought the hello sleeve would be perfect with this image.  The green hello is the negative cut from the speech bubble, I simple backed that one with matching red CS and added the phone to the card.  Super easy and a fun bright card.  You can size these sleeves to 4x6 to hold a photo or down to 3.5" to hold a gift card.

For my overlay card I added rainbow strips of CS about 1" wide to the back of the overlay.  I'm a sucker for rainbows so this card just plain makes me happy!

Thanks for stopping by today!  If you have any questions about the new Artfully Sent cartridge, just send me a note!  If you are ready to buy this densely packed bucket of fun, let me help you as your personal Consultant when you shop at:

Stay crafty my friends!

Artfully Sent - Sentiment Cards Page 1

Here are the TWO cards you can cut from Artfully Sent's Sentiment key on page 1.

This is a 5x7" card as cut from the book.  All I did was add some red CS backer to pop the word on the front and some Baker's Twine - a fast and easy card!

This card I dressed up a bit by adding an extra heart stamped with one of our cute M size stamps and a bit of extra paper.  The Thistle colored mini hearts are from the September SOTM - sometimes the smallest touch adds just the right bit!

Just a quickie post today as I have Curriculum Night at one of the schools I need to dash off to.

If you are local to the Snoqualmie Valley WA area, I'd love to meet you at my upcoming Card Buffet this Sunday from 2-4PM or next Thursday 9/25 from 7-9PM!  You can read about this all you can "eat" buffet in my post HERE.

Artfully Sent Scene Card - Under 5 Minutes to Cute!

Make THIS card in under 5 MINUTES with the new Artfully Sent Cartridge!

This card has two layers sized and cut directly from the handbook and assembled in under 5 minutes flat!

Order your Artfully Sent Cartridge HERE:

My family loves the new Doctor Who series and when I saw this Scene card it totally reminded me of the Tardis so I went with a bright blue and white color scheme for this one.  Love the little Scottie dog! There are so many cute negative spaces that you can keep and add to other projects later!
This is a Scene card so you cut two layers (Scene plus Shift) to make both pieces of the front cover.  It has great visual dimension because the 2nd layer goes through to the back of the card but it's still flat for mailing!  Love it!
I attached the white cover to the back of the Telephone cut out using our Fine Tip Bonding Memories glue.  Ever since I started Cricuting I've been using my Fine Tip Bonding Memories constantly for all the small delicate cuts.  Works great with our new Non-Stick mats because you can wipe away the extra glue instead of having a sticky mess on your work surface!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Tomorrow I'll be showing the two Sentiment Cards from Page 1 of the handbook!

Why I'm in LOVE with Artfully Sent - Cutting page 1!

I knew our Artfully Sent cartridge would be worth the wait and when I got it into my hot little hands Monday I decided the best way to showcase this cartridge was to cut all the cards from just ONE page.  So that is what I did yesterday!  After several hours of crafty work (such a hard chore - LOL!) I finished all 8 cards that you can make from just ONE of the FIFTY pages in this cart!  (Artwork is at the bottom of the post so be sure to keep going!)

So opening up our cartridge box there are a couple of things right away that tell you its going to be good!
1.  It includes an Overlay specific to the cartridge - no need to worry about a generic overlay.
2.  It includes a detailed picture instruction booklet for putting together all the Pop Up cards!
3.  The handbook is full sized thick booklet which tells you there is a lot of content on the cart (400 complete ready to go projects, 700 images)

Let's check out page 1 of the Artfully Sent handbook to see some of the specifics.
The first thing to notice is that each page is broken down into categories of cards.  Every one of the 50 pages is in the same format so you are getting 50 or 100 of each of these kinds of cards in 25 different themes (50 if two keys make one card like Pop Up and Scene and 100 of Sentiment, Sleeve and Pocket cards where there are two individual cards - one on the key and one on the shift)
Walking through from top to bottom:
1.  Pop Up Cards - an outside and an inner liner with a pop up element.  The Icon button has the extra images associated with the Pop Up card.  Icons can also be used as stand alone elements.
2.  Scene cards - an outside layer and a contrasting front piece that together build a scene.  This key also includes swing cards.  The key plus shift work together to make one card.
3.  Sentiment Cards - There are two cards on each key and have sentiments cut directly into the front for fast and easy cards.
4.  Sleeve Cards - Two cards for each key.  One builds a sleeve/pouch you can then make an insert for with a more open cut or slide a gift card in for the more closed cuts.  The other is an overlay card you can back with various papers to change the looks.
5.  Pocket scrapping cards - there is a 4x6" and a 3x4" card on each page.  These can be used for pocket scrapping (think Picture my Life) or used as fronts you can place on a plain card base for a fast, easy and flat for mailing card.
Looking at this close up, you'll also notice the sizes of  the cuts are indicated..  So on this section of page you can size all your cuts to 7" HIGH (Cricut Cuts are always listed by Height) except for the Sleeve card which is cut at 6".  The large picture shows the inside of the Pop Up card (you can use the icons to decorate the outside too or keep it plain for an extra surprise) and the completed front of the Scene card. Oh and there is that cute font!

There are 50 pages in the booklet laid out this way - so 50 x 8 cards per page = 400 projects ready to push and cut.  You can make them directly as shown or fancy them up.  You'll also get 100 icons to use, a full font in upper and lower case plus envelopes AND liners (YAY!) that you can cut to match your projects.

In your Artfully Sent bundle you'll also receive 3 full D size stamps ($17.95 each = $53.85) plus a 24 count package of 12x12 White Daisy cardstock ($9.95) which equals $63.80 in extra goodies in your bundle!

Now do you see why I'm in love???  If you are ready to order now you can visit my online shopping site here:

When you order through me I'll also send you a thank you gift in the mail - a sweet little stamp set PLUS a card made with Artfully Sent to get your creative mojo started!

Today I'm going to start sharing my Artfully Sent page 1 cards one style at a time - with Pop Up cards going first because I love them!  As a challenge to myself I've decided to cut ALL the cards in the entire cartridge one page at a time!  This is going to be FUN and its going to use up some of my stash - LOL!  Yes, you NEED this cartridge to use up your stash!

Whale of a birthday card with Free DS Explore file

Finally getting around to sharing the fun birthday card I made for my son this year using my new Cricut Explore.  I'm loving that new machine!
I used the Brooklyn Iron On cartridge for the whales and changed the detail cut line to a writing line using a silver pen.  I added a couple of googly eyes (yeah, I've got a thing for them) and some glitter gel to the spout.  The paper is our retired Tommy pack - love that map paper for nautical cards!  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from one of our CTMH carts (you can always replace it with another sentiment if you don't have that cart).

Here is the cut file using Design Studio for the Explore if you'd like to make this fun card!

I'm not weird...I'm a limited edition - this week's Happy Mail to my college kid

Here is this week's happy mail going out to my daughter in college. We had an awesome Face Chat the other night and boy do I miss chatting and laughing with her every day.

The sentiment and glasses are from the Brooklyn Iron on cartridge - I used a pen in my Explore to write the saying on White Daisy CS and then colored the individual letters with our new Shinhan Touch Twin markers - worked GREAT and no bleeding!

Aren't those mini staples fun?  My friend ordered one of the new mini staplers last month and when I saw how cute they were I had to pick up one for myself (the hazard of being a Consultant is seeing ALL the cute stuff and then needing it). They make a great accent without the bulk which is good for avoiding extra postage!
I filled the lenses of the glasses in with some Liquid Glass to give it some shine and dimension.  About 5 minutes later I stuck my thumb on one of the lenses (yes, I am an impatient crafter) which prompted another thick layer of Liquid Glass.

Don't you love the CTMH fun Chevron Embossing folder?  I inked the kraft card with some Cashmere ink on top.  The orange paper is from our new Scaredy Cat collection and the pink polka dot is a retired Christmas pack.

When I get a chance I need to make a t-shirt that matches for her.

Thanks for stopping by today!
