This weekend I gave my toes a little love using some scrapping supplies. The rubons were a CTMH special from a long time ago. Anything tiny will work great for big toes. I love using our self-adhesive sparkles on toes too! After you've applied just put a good top coat over it and it will last for several weeks. I do martial arts several times a week and I have yet to lose a sparkle. So if you are cheap, err, I mean FRUGAL like me then dig through your scrapping supplies and give your toes some summer love!
If I ignore my funny sandal tan lines and my puffy pinkie toe that has been broken way too many times all I can see is shiny pretty!

Almost here!
Hello my crafty friends!
August 1st is just around the corner and all the wonderful new products from Close to my Heart in the Fall/Winter Idea Book will be released! I've been busy creating in my craft room but alas, there is no way I could afford ALL the wonderful products all at once - so what is a girl to do? Join a BLOG HOP of course!
On August 1st I'll be joining in with a big group of Close to my Heart consultants to share artwork featuring the new products! With so many consultants joining in there will definitely be a smattering of almost all the new products and I'm sure a heavy dose of the new Artbooking cartridge that we are all in love with!
I can't wait to share with you all throughout the month of August as I have several groups I'm joining up with to showcase all the goodies! To make sure you don't miss any of the fun, you can Like me on Facebook by clicking HERE (and then hover over the like adjust your settings to get my notifications) or you can follow this blog by e-mail (in the upper right corner of my blog page) and have my posts delivered straight to your inbox!

More details will be coming soon but you won't want to miss my twice a year celebration of YOU as my wonderful supportive customers and the AWESOME new CTMH goodies!

Video Tutorial - Pop-Up Card using Acetate to Create Floating Images
This week's challenge at Heart2Heart Challenges is "Water, water everywhere!". I had to chuckle when I saw a preview of the projects as many of us chose Surf's Up paper because its PERFECT for this challenge! I used our new Artbooking cartridge to create my fish card but I also created a Video Tutorial using Artiste cuts so YOU can create a card using this technique today! The video is at the bottom of the post so be sure to scroll down!
Above you can see how I took elements from the pre-designed scrapbook layout in Artbooking and used them for a card simply by re-sizing using the "read dial size" key. The frame is actually a 4x6" photo mat that I resized to 4" actual size.
On the inside of the card I sandwiched strips of clear plastic between the front half of the card and the back half to create this fun wiggly pop up. When you move the card, the fish look like they are swimming - the googly eyes just make them all the sillier! I also dabbed on some silver glitz to the wave cut outs to give them some sparkle and shine.
The fish are SO FUN to play with!
Now here is the Artiste sample my video below will show you how to create!
Here is the VIDEO TUTORIAL on how to create a pop up card using acetate strips to create floating images.
***IF YOU ARE GETTING THIS VIA E-MAIL you need to click out to my blog to see the video!***
Measurements to copy exactly:
Card front and card back cut at 5.5"x4.75" and score .5" along the long edge to create the gutter
Acetate is cut at .5" wide (2) at 1.75", (1) at 2", (2) at 2.5" and (1) at 3"
You can purchase Artbooking through me as a pre-order now (ships on August 1) but Artiste can be ordered today by clicking HERE to visit my online ordering site!

Video Tutorial - CTMH Page Protectors in your Creative Memories Albums + Work the Workshop!
Close to my Heart recently took over the Creative Memories business relationships with its consultants in Australia and New Zealand. Once again CTMH showed what a great company it is by covering a lot of the contractual items that were affecting both consultants and customers with the unfortunate bankruptcy of Creative Memories in those territories. We are thrilled to welcome our creative sisters down under! One of my Aussie CTMH sisters put together a terrific video tutorial showing how to convert CTMH page protectors to work in the Creative Memories albums. As I have a recent new customer who is a former Creative Memories client, I'm posting this here for her and others who are looking for new solutions to their older albums.
**If you are getting this delivered via e-mail, you'll need to click out to my blog in order to see this informative video!

Crab Birthday Card with Create a Critter Cartridge
Last week was my son's 15th birthday so I helped my daughter make this card for her brother. We both love this adorable crab, especially after we sent him through the cuttlebug for some texture! All papers are CTMH but the cartridge is Create a Critter.
Its been a little quiet on my blog lately mostly because I've been immersed in my new Artbooking Cartridge! I've been having a blast creating mini albums (4 out of 10 so far) and playing with the double layouts. I've dubbed Artbooking the "Ultimate Stash Busting Tool". This thing makes putting mini albums together so easy that literally the most difficult decision is which papers to cut. I just received the rest of my new goodies from Close to my Heart to start creating for my Open House so I'm trying to squeeze all the crafting time I can in between spending time with my family this summer. I'll be posting more about the August Open House soon - I know many of you are excited to see all the new products in action so I'll announce plans soon!
Stay crafty my friends!

Rediscover Happy Quilted Card with Tutorial for Heart2Heart Challenges
I was so excited to be asked to stay on board the Design Team at Heart2Heart Challenges for another term! I love our creative challenges and the fact that I can showcase Close to my Heart products each week not to mention the fact that I get to play with awesomely talented ladies who share my love of CTMH!
This week our challenge is a Mix and Match challenge - use either 3 different stamp sets OR 3 different paper packs. I decided to use almost all the current paper packs (I accidentally forgot Surf's Up - eek!) and make a fun set of quilted cards to showcase the FREE Downloadable labels CTMH has given us as part of our new "Rediscover Happy" campaign! I'll link up to that download at the end of this post so be sure to scroll all the way to the end!

I had so much fun with this technique I wound up making 11 cards!
Here is a quick tutorial on how to make these cards:
Instructions:
1. Cut 1" wide strips of your patterned paper scraps (mine are 1x3")
2. Adhere strips side by side in a pleasing pattern on some lightweight copy paper.
3. Cut 1" rows off the top of your strip so you have a series of 1" blocks.
4. Adhere the blocks to a plain card base to the size you want (here I did 3 rows).
5. Emboss the entire piece with an embossing folder of your choice.
6. Add a "Rediscover Happy" sentiment tag (CLICK HERE for your FREE copy)
This technique is a fabulous way to use up scraps of papers and I love the crazy quilt look of the finished card. Now grab your CTMH stamps and papers and have some fun with our Mix and Match Challenge! See you at Heart2Heart Challenges later this week!
