Cutie Patootie Owl Card with CTMH Artiste and Flirty

The owl image on the new CTMH Artiste Cartridge is a little cutie patootie!  I cut this one fairly small at just 1.75" for this card but how fabulous would he be cut at 12" for a wall decoration at Halloween?  This paper is part of the new Flirty collection - love the mod colors and awesome patterns.

I used a marker to outline his feathers and add a bit of definition to his beak and feet.  I also used a white gel pen on the insides of his eyes and then a splash of Stardust Glitter Gel to make them pop even more.
This bubble sentiment comes from one of the stamp sets that is included with the Artiste bundle.  There is a whole set of fun sayings with coordinating bubbles that can be cut on the Cricut.  Too awesome!

Just one more day until YOU can order the new CTMH Artiste Cartridge as well as all the fun and fabulous papers, stamps, accessories and home decor items from the new Idea Book!  I'll be back on Wednesday with some announcements for upcoming specials including a double D size set that will be a mid-August special!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hello Pop Up Card with CTMH Artiste and Flirty

The new Cricut Artiste Cartridge has two pop up cards - this one which says hello and another one that says Love.  So easy to press a button and poof!  you have a fun and fabulous card interior.  You don't even have to match it up with the exterior scalloped cut but I did for this one!  Isn't this new Flirty paper just so much fun?
I made liberal use of Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel for this one so here is a shot without some of the shine so you can see the base paper a bit better.  There is something about the colors in our new Flirty paper that makes me have to grab some glitter!
Here is the awesome interior cut with Artiste.  I added some bands of Goldrush leaf paper just to finish off the look a bit and tie it in to the front of the card.

Thanks for spending some time with me today!  Hope you have a fun summer day today!

Cool Dude Birthday Card with CTMH Artiste and Dakota

Yesterday I showed you the men's shirt card done at 5.5", today I have a smaller version (about 4.25") that I used to embellish a 6x6" guy's birthday card created with our new Dakota papers and a variety of stamps.
I used our Classmate Alphabet set to stamp cool dude on the shirt pocket - love it!

I really like how this one came out!  The oval will eventually have the birthday year stamped inside but I'll keep it blank for now until I'm ready to use this one.

Besides the Dakota paper and the Artiste cartridge for the shirt, all other items on this card are currently available so click on the following links if you want to get on of the items shown.

Love Life stamp set (for flourish and small stars)
Look Who's (for oval birthday stamp)
Enjoy Life (for Clock)
Art Philosophy (for scalloped oval and stars)
Durables (metal studs)
Dakota Papers (available August 1st)
Artiste Cartridge (available August 1st)

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you are enjoying the sneak peeks!

CTMH Artiste Guy Shirt Card with Florentine

With 700 images on the new CTMH Cricut Artiste Cartridge there are tons of fun things to explore!  I've seen the origami men's shirt cards around but never really wanted to make one in a class setting as there were too many scores and folds.  CTMH took all the work out of this card now with Artiste as one of the many images is this fun men's shirt card base!  A quick cut, fold at the scores and attach the separate tie and pocket and you are done easy-peasy!

I cut this one at 5.5" - it fits in a 6x6 envelope as the shirt is fairly square.  I was just playing around with this cut so I could learn how to fold it and assemble.  The funny thing is I swear my Dad had a shirt with a similar pattern to this Florentine paper years ago!
One thing to note on this card is that you'll want to score along the BACK side to allow the card to open.  The collar is where the card attaches to the back so you'll need to open it along the back and press down so the front doesn't get creased.
It just doesn't get easier than this!  Visit tomorrow to see a fun way I used this shirt card with our new Dakota papers.

I hope you are as enormously excited about the new Artiste Cartridge as I am!  I love it so much I'm planning on announcing a special for the month of August when you purchase this cartridge through me!  Make sure you stop by on August 1st and I'll tell you all about it!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you are having a fun and sunny day!

For my Friend Card with CTMH Stella

Part of the excitement of a new Idea Book is all the new toys (Artiste, how I love thee) and new product that I get to play with - the other part is seeing all the fabulous artwork that CTMH corporate puts into the new book!  I love to lift a few designs using different papers and accessories to get myself started with creating.  This card is a lift from the new Idea Book but here I used some Stella paper.  Stella, along with Victory, Pemberly and Florentine will still be available in the next Idea Book.

If you'd like to make this project, click on the links below to purchase these supplies:
Black Marker (all dye markers are retiring on July 31 to make way for Alcohol markers)

Strawberry Boxes with CTMH Artiste Cartridge

My darling daughter is a strawberry crazed girl.  When spring time rolls around and the huge 4lb containers of them hit Costco, I buy two a week and we go through them all.  So its not surprising that one of the first projects I created with the new CTMH Artiste cartridge was a pair of the adorable Strawberry Boxes for my girl.
I cut these at 4.5" to get two to a page which is not as big as you can go for this box - I think the max is about 6.25".  Here is a shot against a ruler so you can see the size.  They are just right for a mini candy bar, a small baggie of candy, a pair of earrings, etc.  They'd be very cute to make tiny and put in a basket or to use as a table decoration/party favor for a summer themed party.

I ran the cut shape through my Cuttlebug with the Polka Dot folder (I folded the cut out in half so it fit in one go).
I used a roll of jute twine I had to thread through the Cricut trimmed holes and then up through the center of the strawberry leaves and tied a bow on top.  Easy-peasy!  Love how adorable these look and that some very old Christmas paper I had worked PERFECTLY for the cute leaves!

I hope I'm wetting your whistle for the new CTMH Artiste Cartridge that is available on August 1st!

Masculine Milk Carton with new Artiste Cricut Cartridge

I think milk cartons are the bomb-diggity for cool treat packaging.  I loved them when CTMH came out with their pre-cut ones and I was totally pumped when I saw the image on the Artiste Cartridge!  Perfect for party favors, gift giving or packaging up a special treat for your kid's lunch box.  The best thing about it being on the Cricut is that you can make everything from tiny ones for a handful of M&Ms or a big one like this to hold a gift sized amount.
On a smaller one-time use package I glue the whole top shut but on a larger sized package its nice to glue just a portion and use a paper clip or small binder clip to close up the lip.
During the Stampganza promotion I grabbed two sets I had my eye on "Country Life" and "Enjoy!".  I love how nicely they work together and give this project almost a French Country feel.
Close up of my paperclip tag.
I've only just begun using my Artiste Cricut cartridge and all I can say is that it is a MUST HAVE if you like to create gift items, host parties or decorate for the holidays.  There are some super sweet card bases, gift card holders (with the notches for the gift cards pre-cut) as well as lots of detailed images but the 3-D items are what make me swoon.  I'll be back tomorrow with some fun Strawberry Boxes I made for my daughter!

You can order your own exclusive Artiste Cricut Cartridge from me starting August 1st!

Graphic Word Search Guy Birthday Card with CTMH Diverse Backgrounds and Typeset

Over at Heart2Heart Challenges they are having a geometric challenge - your card must contain a line, a line, a circle and a square.  Pretty fun when you think of all the possibilities!  Here is the card I came up with - a fun masculine birthday card that would be good for a teen.

I circled the words with Vineyard Berry marker and then filled in the centers with Liquid Glass to make them pop out even more.
I used one of our corrugated Milepost shapes, used some White Daisy marker on top and sponged black on the edges.

Diverse Backgrounds Stamp (the word find stamp)
Star Struck Stamp Set (retired, for the arrows)

This is what happiness looks like card with CTMH Love Clusters

After our Stampganza promotion last month I have several stamps that haven't seen ink yet so I pulled them into one container and put them on my desktop to make sure I use them all - especially as a new Idea Book comes out on August 1st!  I adore our CTMH stamps and usually wind up owning most of each of the Idea Books stamps.  Can you understand why I had to become a consultant?  I had to offset my stamp addiction!

I used our Love Clusters stamp set to create this fun rainbow butterfly card.  This card is actually fairly big to fit in a standard business size envelope and since the butterflies fold down it works great for mailing.  This one was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest by Jennifer Maguire.
I used the splotchy stamp from Universal Backgrounds to give some texture to the white background.

If you'd like to make this project, click on these links to purchase these supplies:
Love Clusters Stamp Set (buttefly image)
AP Cartridge (the butterfly diecuts)

Tropical Seas Birthday Card with CTMH Footloose

My very aquatic son just celebrated his 14th birthday.  I always try to create something "fishy" for him and this year the CTMH Footloose paper and WOTG stamp set were perfect!

I had a piece of vellum sitting on my desk from my last card so I cut a wavy pattern on it then used some fringing scissors to cut the kelp.  I sponged three colors of green on the kelp to give it a mottled look.

Lots of fancy cutting on this one but totally worth it when my son saw it.  He never asks for much for birthdays or Christmas so I make sure he gets a great card to show him how much I love him.
If you'd like to make this card, click the links below to purchase these supplies:
Footloose WOTG (workshop on the go) kit
Footloose Compliments (that little piece of chipboard at the bottom)
Vellum (non-CTMH)
