CTMH March Stamp of the Month Blog Hop featuring Sensational Season

Who's ready to do the bunny hop?  The March Stamp of the Month is Sensational Season - a set of 10 stamps with a vintage bunny theme.  If you have come here from Nicole's Blog, you are on the right path! The bunny hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around by clicking on the links at the bottom of each post.

When I got this stamp set I immediately thought of making some carrot shaped Easter treat holders so I channeled my inner-Beatrix Potter and got to work making some of the CUTEST little bunny things for my kids this year!  Check out little Peter rabbit... don't you just want to squeeze his little bunny cheeks?

I used our new 2" scallop punch on some White Daisy cardstock, embossed the images in Cocoa embossing powder and colored in using our ink pads and Waterbrush.  I just started using the Waterbrush a couple of weeks ago and I love the control and soft watercolor look you can achieve with this tool.  I also used our new 12" Kraft borders at the top of each box to help make each project unique for each kid.

Here is the top for each carrot box.
I was having so much fun with this stamp set I just couldn't stop - the Beatrix force was strong in me that day!  So I also made two 12x12 sheets of random stamp and Waterbrush colored paper to use later for more Easter projects.  On these larger sheets I stamped in Cocoa INK instead of doing the embossing - it was faster and gave an even softer vintage look to these papers.

Now "Hop" on over to Tonya's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the SOTM is only available until March 31, 2011 - to get this set at a discount or free visit my website at Paige.MyCTMH.com!

Gray and Purple all-occasion card with CTMH Bliss, Friendship, Opaque Pearls and Dimensional Elements

This card is a lift from the new Spring/Summer 2011 Idea Book.  I loved the combination of gray and purple plus I have a ton of these flower shaped chipboard pieces I need to use up!

To make the flowers I embossed Silver on the chipboard and then applied Petal ink to the rest of the piece.  I've also used section of the large brocade pieces in the February SOTM "Friendship" to create the gray swirls under the flowers.  If I was going to make this card again I think I'd get a darker and more dramatic purple for the flowers though - something more like Gypsy.  I do like the softness of this color combination too.

If you'd like to make this card, get these supplies:
Paper:  Bliss Level 2
Stamps:  Friendship (February SOTM), Playful Flourishes (retired but Cherished Flourishes is a great subsitute)
Inks:  Chocolate, Chocolate Marker for stitching, Petal, Gray Flannel, Versamark
Other:  Opaque Pearls, Silver Embossing Powder, Dimensional Elements Perennials (retired)

CTMH Butterfly and Music Notes card with CTMH Universal Backgrounds, Kraft Ready Borders and Find Your Style

Here's one I made while in a flurry of Valentine's Day preparations.  It uses several products that I adore - the new background stamp called Universal Backgrounds with those beautiful music notes, our new Kraft borders and the January Stamp of the Month with that awesome butterfly!
The butterfly images are actually stamped directly onto the cardstock over the music note stamping.  To get the image to pop I simply outlined the butterfly with a fine tip Sharpie pen.  I've added some Glitz Glitter Gel to the Kraft border strip and a little bling and we're done!

If you'd like to make this card, purchase these products:
Paper:  Bliss
Stamps:  Universal Backgrounds (awesome set with music notes and more), Find Your Style (Butterfly - Jan Stamp of the Month)
Other:  Mocha Opaques, Purple/Pinks/Red Sparkle Assortment, Sparkles, Kraft Ready Borders, Glitz Glitter Gel, Paper Flower (purple ones are retired but white ones can be dyed to match)

CTMH Valentine's Day Countdown Day #13 Blog Hop

Tomorrow's the big day of L-O-V-E are you ready?  Here's a sweet card that was totally inspired by a project in the new Idea Book.  I loved the combination of gray, pink and orange and HOW FUN is that pink pom-pom ribbon?  To make the little flower I snipped a little circel of cardstock, covered it with adhesive and rolled up a little ribbon to make a flower.  I topped it off with a pearl and glued the whole thing down with some liquid glass.

To make this card, get these supplies:
Paper:  Bliss (gray paper and bamboo paper), Sophia (pink and orange paper)
Stamps:  Priceless Love

CTMH Valentine's Day Countdown Day #11 Blog Hop

I just love creating damask backgrounds with stamps - such a classy look and so easy to accomplish!  This is the first time I've used this particular button treatment - I tied a ribbon all the way around the Colonial White card front and then used Colonial White Waxy Flax to tie a button on the ribbon at the side of the card front.  Its given stability when you put the front on to the Cocoa card base.  I like this look and will be doing this again!

If you liked this card, get the supplies here:
Inks:  Cocoa, Blush
Other:  Pink Button Assortment, Hollyhock Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Glitz Glitter Gel
